As our new HR Officer, you’ll be a long-term partner to our our people, responsible for all HR related enquiries, from the first point of contact to the go-to resource throughout the entire employment lifecycle.

With its unique spirit, Amsterdam is the ideal hub for our teams to trade a wide range of products from listed derivatives to cash equities, ETFs, bonds and foreign exchange.

What you’ll do:

As part of our HR Operations & Systems team, you’ll apply your skills to a wide variety of HR activities that are fundamental to Optiver’s success. Working with three other HR Officers, you’ll be responsible for managing all operational HR related activities and data entry for new joiners, transfers and leavers. You’ll multi-task to handle payroll, requests about immigration, pensions, absence and the 30% ruling. Your attention to detail and integrity will ensure data privacy and HR compliance at all times.

At Optiver, we want to ensure our employees’ transition is as easy as possible, and you’ll play a key role in helping new hires get adjusted to their roles. By partnering with stakeholders and leveraging tools such as Greenhouse and AFAS, you’ll also ensure our business runs smoothly by further automating and improving our essential processes.

In terms of skillset, we’re looking for:

  • An academic Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Extensive knowledge of Dutch HR landscape (Dutch labor law, pension rulings, tax rules, immigration, etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferably AFAS)
  • Experience with project- and change management
